Growing Life Organic
Arugula Organic Seeds

One of the most important questions you’ll have as a gardener is how to harvest arugula so it keeps on growing. If you don’t want to leave your plant alone for several weeks, plant some more and watch it grow. This is known as succession planting. You can sow seeds every two to three weeks or even more. Just remember to wait until the leaves are fully grown before harvesting.

The best time to harvest arugula is when it is two to three inches long. You can cut the leaves off the plant or pinch them individually. You can also eat the flowers that grow on the arugula plants. Ideally, you want to harvest arugula when they are 2 to 3 inches long. If you want to get the most flavor from your arugula, wait until they’re three to four inches long.

Watering arugula is essential for its growth. To ensure that the soil remains moist, you should water it daily. A good rule of thumb is to water your arugula when the top inch of soil feels dry. If you live in a very dry climate, you might need to water it daily. If you don’t give your arugula enough water, it’ll bolt and lose its flavor.

Arugula needs a lot of light to stay healthy. In cool weather, it will flower and bolt. In hot weather, it will die off. You can thin the plants as you see fit once they’ve begun to grow. You can also give them a light rest by watering them regularly. If you don’t harvest arugula in the right time, your crop might become overcrowded.

Harvest arugula when the leaves are two to three inches long. Arugula should be picked before the leaves begin to bloom. Then, you should snip off the flowering stalk. This will help the arugula plant to grow in a cooler area. If you don’t do this, you can risk the plant dying and losing the flavor.

When you harvest arugula, it is best to cut it as soon as the leaves are a few inches long. Pulling the leaves will cause the plant to bolt, but if you do this early enough, it will keep growing. Once it has bloomed, snip off the flowering stalk. Then, you can continue harvesting the leaves. Arugula needs full sun for the best flavor.

To harvest arugula, you can harvest the leaves at either baby or mature stage. You can choose to pick the baby leaves as soon as they are a few inches tall. After that, you can harvest the mature leaves and let them continue to grow. But be careful not to over-harvest! Arugula has two different growth stages. As they grow, they are ripe.
