Description

If you’re looking for a set of quality scallions that will last long into the season, look no further than Monique French Pink Shallot Sets.

These sets include one red echalote and one green onion, both of which are incredibly fast-growing and produce plenty of flavorful scallions.

The echalote is especially versatile, lending a delicious pink color and slight sweetness to any dish.

Shallots are a fantastic alternative for the herb and onion gardener.

They are delicious when consumed early in the growing season and stored towards the end of the summer.

Monique French shallotMonique French Pink Shallot Sets are a great resource for caramelizing the sugars since they are purposely designed to have an elongated shape.

They are favored among chefs for their easy-peel nature of the bulbs and their sugar profile.

In contrast to the thicker layers of onions, shallots have thinner membranes and lose their pungency faster than onions do while they remain crunchy.

Shallots have the intense flavor with much less bite when they are raw. They’re good in tartes tatins and curries, for example, when eaten with chicken and fish, sautéed with steak, pickled, and chopped in sofritos and vinaigrettes.

Monique are usually 3-4 inches long at maturity and store well after curing.

I made a large purchase of seeds from this shop for my garden this year. I am reviewing at this point on shipping and service alone. I will do an update post of germination and harvest(hopefully) later! First of all i have to give credit where it is due I ordered 35 items and they didn’t miss a single item on my order all in perfect quantity! Second their is clearly more seeds and onions in bundles than indicated so they dont skimp you out!! Third they gave me 10 free gifts none of them the same of what I ordered. So I get to experiment on some extra seeds and plants that I had been eyeing but didn’t want to commit to, I’m excited to try out some bean plants and sunflowers just to name a few of the free gifts. I will be back again no doubt for my garden seed orders!!
