Tomatoes of the grape shape are known as Sungrape, and the variety is bred by the Tokita Seed Company. These plants produce lots of juicy, flavorful fruit, and the clusters are double, with between 15 and 35 fruits per cluster. Tomatoes of the Sungrape variety are thin-skinned and will resist splitting. They are easy to grow, and the tomatoes will keep producing for a long time. The ‘Sungrape’ is best grown in a sunny location under a grow light.

The plant’s foliage is bright orange and its texture is similar to a large grape. The fruit is sweet, with a high-acidity-to-sugar balance. It has an indeterminate growth habit, making it ideal for temperate climates. It grows well outside or in a greenhouse. Tomato sungrapes are vigorous and disease-resistant. Tomato plants need a moderate amount of water.

Tomato plants are best planted after the danger of frost is past. Afterwards, gradually acclimatize them to the outdoors. After two or three months, your plants will be approximately 20cm (8″) tall. After transplanting, place them in a sheltered, full-sun spot. Space them 60cm apart. Support them with 5′ canes and tie them to soft garden twine.

The Tomato Sungrape is a small grape-sized fruit that tastes just like a giant grape. Its sweet and acidity balance is great. Tomato plants should be planted at least 60cm (24″) apart in a sheltered location in full sunlight. Ensure the soil is moist but not stale. The tomato sungrape is a hardy vine that will grow well in a sheltered position.
