How frogs are beneficial to your garden

If you have a pond or garden, frogs are a good bio-indicator. When frogs leave, it means the soil or water is unhealthy or is too acidic. So, while frogs are a sign of a healthy environment, don’t panic if you don’t have any spawning tadpoles. There’s nothing to worry about. Just remember to watch out for their eggs.

Frogs don’t drink through their mouths, but they do soak up moisture by sitting in water. Therefore, you should provide a small shallow pond near your shelter for frogs. Make sure to clean the water once a week and refill it with fresh water. You can also build a small wildlife pond for frogs and other creatures. Try to keep it as natural as possible, and rinse the container out occasionally.

Besides being beneficial for your garden, frogs are also good for the environment. Their preferred habitat is a healthy ecosystem with plants and leaf litter. You can make a small pond for frogs by placing upside pots in your pond. You can also build a shallow pond for your frogs by putting some moss in it. By doing this, you’ll attract more tadpoles to your pond.
