Growing Life Organic

Unlike other varieties of cucumber, Dasher II is a high-yielding hybrid. It has uniform, dark green, smooth fruits. It is a gynoecious plant, which means it needs another cucumber variety as a pollinator. The fruit of Dasher II is about eight inches long. It is also resistant to CMV and other diseases, including blight.

This cucumber is open-pollinated, and its fruit is about six to eight inches long. It is usually sliced when it’s only four or five inches in length. The seedlings should be planted about six to ten inches apart and one inch deep. Typically, cucumber plants should be spaced 36 to 60 inches apart. If you’re starting seeds indoors, it is best to do so about three weeks before you plant them outdoors. Just be sure to keep the soil temperature above 50 F or 68 F.

Once you’ve chosen the variety, you need to decide where you’re going to grow them. For pickling and slicing, choose a cucumber variety that grows six to eight inches long and up to an inch in diameter. These cucumbers are best picked when they’re small and young. Calypso and Dasher II are excellent choices for pickling. They like warm, dry weather and are not very tolerant of frost.

The seedlings should be planted in a hole about an inch deep and 18 to 36 inches apart. This variety does not have vines and does not need to be trellised. For best results, plant the seeds about three weeks before you plan to plant them outdoors. Doing this will ensure that the seeds germinate successfully. You should also be sure to harden off the seedlings before transplanting them.

Before you plant your seedlings, make sure they are well-hydrated. Water them thoroughly and check their pH level to make sure they are fertile. The soil should be between 70 degrees Fahrenheit and have a pH of 6.0. You should not fertilize the soil before planting the seeds. This will help prevent disease and keep them healthy. Moreover, they will not grow as fast as the other types.

Once the seeds are planted, the plants should be spaced at least six to ten inches apart. During the early stages, you should trellise the plants. The trellis allows the cucumbers to grow straighter and more evenly. If you are growing them in a garden, make sure they are planted in an area with adequate sun light. You should not plant the seedlings too far apart, otherwise they will not develop properly.
